Common questions

I already bought a smart device. Can you just set it up?

Yes. That's our Install & Teach service. Leave it in the box if you like; we'll handle it and show you how it works.

Which smart home brands do you work with?

Most major brands, including Amazon Alexa and Echo, Google Nest, Ring, Ecobee, Philips Hue, Lutron, Kasa, Wyze and eero. Not sure about yours? Ask.

Do you keep my passwords?

No. Accounts are created in your name, you choose the passwords, and we write them on your cheat sheet only if you want us to.

Can I buy a setup visit for my parents?

Yes. Gift certificates are available, and we're happy to coordinate with you on what they need.

What about hardwired switches and new wiring?

For anything that needs line-voltage electrical work, we bring in a licensed electrician partner and coordinate the job for you.

How soon can you come?

Most visits are scheduled within a few days, with weekday evening and Saturday times available. Smart Home Care members get priority.
